Clock Hands Strangle joins the Orange family

We will be recording and releasing Clock Hands Strangle's first full length starting this winter.

Press Release:

The music of Clock Hands Strangle plays like the soundtrack to a rainy Florida summer day.  It is mellow, yet introspective; soothing, yet revitalizing.  Blending folk and Americana with a contemporary indie spirit, the band has been skillfully painting their musical landscapes for the past three years.  While calling upon influences such as Joni Mitchell and Simon & Garfunkel, the band is also reminiscent of contemporary acts such as the Shins and Bright Eyes.

After self releasing their first EP, Paper Flowers, and completing a 30 day US tour, the band attracted the attention of Gainesvilles Orange Records, who plans to release their first full length album in early 2007.

The bands ambitious touring efforts and quality live performances have helped develop a solid national fan base.  Led by Todd Portnowitzs acoustic guitar and philosophical lyrics, the band is backed by the chiming electric guitar of Nick Hill Jr., the rhythmic bass of Brian Bo, and the multi instrumental Christian Duran on percussion, keyboards, trombone, and glockenspiel.

Stay tuned for updates!
