The Most will be missed Current mood: sad

Tonight was the last show for the Most.  (a moment of silence, please).

The Most was one of "the most" fun bands we've ever seen.  We have thorougly enjoyed each of their shows and have been honored to share the stage with them on many occasions.

It is rare that you meet a local band who you truly love as musicians and as people.  The Most were just that.  Their shows packed an intensity and an entertainment value that couldn't be matched.  I remember the first time I ever saw them.  Evidently they had been around for a while, yet we hadn't seen them yet.  It was at the Sidebar on a Wednesday night.  It was a benefit show for MEISA, and Travis played as well.  Charlie was sporting a red Addidas jumpsuit, a la The Royal Tennenbaums and his mom was there.  The songs were catchy, the lyrics clever as ever, and the grooves were kickin.  I believe we have seen almost every show since.

We had a great time during our set tonight, but the night was really about The Most.  We are proud see them off into the sunset: another chapter of Gainesville music gone by.

So, here's to the Most.  We will miss you very much.  Thanks for all the great times and great songs.
